Richard Brown 

Richard Brown served in the U.S Air Force from 1971-1975.  After his service, and while working for Mine Safety Appliances Company, he attended night school at Roger Williams College where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.  He then worked for Titelist in Acushnet, MA for 26 years retiring in July 2014.  While at Titelist, he managed several multi-million dollar capital projects in New Bedford, MA and Thailand.

Richard is a member of the Portsmouth Knights of Columbus, served as the Grand Knight for the Council for 4 years and currently holds the position of Treasurer.

Richard is a communicant of St. Anthony's Church in Portsmouth and participates in the Choir, Lecturer, and is a past member of the Pastoral Council.

​Richard is married to Linda Brown, who has worked for the Maher Center for many years in various positions.  He and Linda reside in Portsmouth.  they have three grown children and six grandchildren.

Jack Casey served as Chief Operating Officer and Executive Director at Battleship Cove in Fall River, MA, retiring in May 2010.

While living in Connecticut, Jack served his community as a member and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Parks and Recreation Commission and he was a youth activities coach. Jack served as Town Selectman. He serves on the Board of Governors of the Propeller Club of Narragansett Bay and he has been a member of the Knights of Columbus for 45 years.

Jack graduated from De La Salle Academy. He studied at Maine Maritime Academy, graduating with a B.S. Degree in Marine Engineering. Upon graduation he was commissioned and served in the Naval Reserve, retiring as Captain.

Jack and his wife Sue live in Middletown and have three sons and four grandchildren.

Barbara Burns joined the Maher Center in 2011. She graduated from the University of Rhode Island and holds a degree in Literature and Education.

Ms. Burns has recently retired having had a long career in Human Resources and Marketing in technology corporations Digital Equipment/Compaq, Siemens, GTECH and Dassault Systemes. She is also a member of the Board of Directors of Special Olympics Rhode Island and a former member of the Board of Directors of the Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra.

Ms. Burns resides in Portsmouth. Her sister, Mary Burns, is a participant and a member of the team at the Maher Garden Center.
