Senator Sheldon Whitehouse Visits
The Maher Center

Senator Sheldon Whitehouse and members of his staff toured our Aquidneck Campus with Angelo Tartaglione, Executive Director. As a long time supporter of this agency, he was keenly aware of the many services and work opportunities we provide. Sen Whitehouse tours Maher CenterHowever, as the tour progressed, he learned new things about us and the capabilities that our clients can deliver. The Senator and his staff clearly left with a better appreciation of what the Maher Center does for the over 300 people we work with on a daily basis and what great services and support we provide to the residents of Aquidneck Island.

Dennis DeMarinis, Capital Campaign Manager, and Amintha Cinotti, Capital Campaign Government Chairperson, took advantage of this opportunity to share information about the Center's vision for future expansion and improvements to our programs. Senator Whitehouse was impressed to see all we do here at the Maher Center. As he was leaving, he once again voiced his support for our efforts to continue what we do, and offered to help us whenever he can.
