Recreational Activities

Maher Center clients enjoy many opportunities for fun and physical activity. Opportunities to socialize, go on trips and have fun are also important services the Center provides to its clients. Several times a year clients have the chance to go on day trips to places like the Providence Place Mall, attend dances, concerts, sports and other events.

Our ongoing physical activity program with the Newport County YMCA gives people with and without disabilities who need adaptation in order to participate the chance to enjoy a range of physical and fitness activities.

And through our, "Zoomba! Zoomba! Zoomba!" program, our clients can participate in physical activity conducted by Maher Center staff in our Day Workshop.
